After serving four years as a Cavalry Scout in the U.S. Army following high school, a move to Las Vegas, and leaping into HVAC work as his first civilian career, in early 2000 he founded and ran a web development company for nine years, building expertise in servers, hosting, e-commerce, and project management.
After selling that company in 2008, he returned full time to the HVAC trade, where he worked until injuries made the physical grind impossible. Faced with change, he turned back to his technical roots and personal drive to tell his own story.
Writing became the priority, but existing tools fell short — especially for creating long timelines and organizing complex narratives. He needed a way to map hundreds of events across decades, placing his own life story into accurate sequence and proper perspective. No tool on the market could handle that scope without losing context halfway through a chapter.
He tried every AI writing assistant available. Each one hit the same walls: models that forgot what they were told two prompts ago, context windows too short to hold a real narrative, memory systems that promised persistence but delivered nothing, and model behavior so inconsistent that the output required more editing than writing from scratch. The tools weren't just incomplete — they were fundamentally unfit for serious, structured creative work.
What he needed was a Codex — a persistent knowledge layer that could hold character arcs, plot threads, world details, and timeline events across an entire project, feeding the right context to the right model at the right time. Nothing like it existed. So he started building it.
That practical beginning evolved into AITeamCollab Command Center, designed first to serve his own projects, then extended so others could benefit from the same disciplined structure.
